I'm a freelance Product Designer currently building large scale design systems for Carl Zeiss in Munich, Germany. Side projects keep my passion alive & photography fuels my creativity.
Fundstack brings efficiency to fund management. It started off early stage as a small project for a logo and landing page and quickly scaled up to creating a bold brand identity with a centralized design system, for both the app and web appearances.
Holidu is a search and comparison engine for vacation rentals. In the early days, they had a very scattered experience due to the many A/B tests which got implemented without a lot of attention to design. With the help of an amazing team we brought the importance of design and its processes into the company's core values. One year later Holidu has a state of the art user experience on web and mobile maintained by a powerful design system in the back.
Over at COBE I had the honor to play a crucial role in the UX vision for Bytons first concept car. We questioned what people could do in a self driving car? Well, driving isn't the answer. It makes me proud to see how far Byton has come.
Dribbble is a place for designers to connect and share snippets of their work. That's exactly what I do on there. Some is client work but most is just fun stuff and redesigns of products I use.
So, what got me into this career that is ruled by screens and how people interact with them? The way people connect to brands always fascinated me, how much emotions brands are able to convey through their visual context and the way their products look and feel. This enthusiasm about design got me hands on experimenting with interface, motion and graphicdesign at a very young age.
Years later my professional career startet at cobe and I finally got to apply my craft to real projects. I got the privilege to manage my own client projects independently and mentor other juniors. After almost four years in the agency business I decided to move closer to the products. Since them I'm closely working with passionated teams and people to make ideas and brands come to life. Currently I'm spending most of my time helping Carl Zeiss transform their variety of digital products through one big design system.
But my passion isn't owed to design only. Photography brings me out of my comfort zone and that's a great contrast to my work routine. I'm humbled that some of my past clients gave me the opportunity to connect these two skills of mine to create even more impact.
